Blue Star Museums Program’s Last Day of 2026

Blue Star Museums is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, in collaboration with the Department of Defense and museums across America, offering free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve.

The 2026 Blue Star Museums program begins on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 16, 2026 and ends on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026.
The last day for Blue Star Museums at the Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum will be Saturday, September 5th, as we are FREE on Sundays and CLOSED on Mondays.

Floor 1

On the Museum’s first floor you’ll find: Special exhibits at the Main Street entrance, the Museum Gift Shop, staffed by volunteers, the Davis Orientation Gallery and the entrance to Heritage Square. The elevator or stairs provide access to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors of the Museum’s exhibits.
