$5.00 for Adults

$2.00 for Children (Ages 6-12)

Under Age 6 are Free

Parking:

The City of Wichita uses the ParkMobile app, as well as cash/card kiosks, in nearby lots. The rates are typically $1/hour or $5/day.  Learn more at ParkWichita.com.

Public Transportation & Bicycles:

With the Transit Center only a couple of blocks away, both the Q-Line and city buses are a great way to get to the museum! Check out the City's website for more details.

As the city increases bicycling and walkability around town, keep an eye on their maps to find the best bike paths to the Museum!

The Museum has an 8' bike rack alongside the building, located off Main Street, to the right of the entrance doors.

Accessibility:

We are pleased to offer an elevator that provides easy access to all four floors of the museum. For your convenience, there is a ramp entrance located at our William Street doors, complete with a designated street-side loading and unloading zone. We understand the importance of mobility, so we have a manual wheelchair available upon request to assist you during your visit. You will also find accessible bathrooms located on the 3rd floor, including a family restroom near the A Wichita Cottage exhibit.

Free Admission Opportunities:

Admission is free to the public from 1:00 to 5:00 pm every Sunday in 2026 thanks to a gift of the Ruth Spooner Stone Charitable Trust, INTRUST Bank, N.A., Trustee.

We are a Time Travelers affiliate If you are a Time Traveler, your general admission is free of charge.

We are also a proud participant of the Museum’s for All program. This program provides FREE general admission to those receiving food or financial assistance visiting the Museum. Location

The Museum is located at 204 S. Main at the downtown corner of William and Main.

Parking

Two metered parking lots are across Main Street. Click for additional lots located within close walking distance.

Accessibility

The Historical Museum is fully accessible to those with disabilities. The entrance located on William Street is equipped with a ramp to provide easy access to the lobby. The elevator provides access to exhibits and other public areas. The Historical Museum works hard to comply with all applicable portions of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
